Support Services
Aging often has different implications for people with disabilities. The support services available through CARES have been thoughtfully designed to provide for maintaining vitality and ability. We promote positive physical and emotional health.

CARES provides active social involvement and safety and security. The program is directed by Aging Services Specialists and all staff are trained in aging and related conditions. The MSS CARES team works closely with all members of a person’s IDT to manage individual aging-related needs and lifestyle changes including cognitive, mobility and health issues.

A Balanced Approach
The CARES program is sensitive to the varied and complex needs of older adults with disabilities. A balanced, whole-person approach is taken to planning and providing services. Client choice, personal care needs and individual interests are incorporated into a flexible program. Services can be received on a full or part-time basis. Activities are balanced by ample opportunities for rest and relaxation. Specific support for memory loss and issues associated with Alzheimer’s Disease are available.
